Assessments

We had a record year in 2016, but I knew we could do better and decided Harbour Results could help us improve. I would tell any company to sign up and do the assessment right away.
— Chip Michaelsen, president, OMD

Each year, Harbour Results conducts more than 40 assessments across multiple industries, including tool and die, stamping, molding, die casting, and precision machining.

A three- or four-person team works collaboratively with your organization to conduct interviews, review processes and analyze existing data.

At the end, best practices, substantive ideas and actionable insights are provided. This is a low-cost way to evaluate your company and establish both internal and external benchmarks.

Harbour provides these assessments in three specific areas: Business | Workforce Readiness | Business Analytics

Workforce Readiness Assessment

Build the next generation talent and gain a competitive advantage

Preparing for the future workforce is critical in today’s competitive marketplace. By 2025, 75% of the workforce will be made up of Millennials, and Generation Z will be on the rise. Attracting and retaining this new talent is a key issue across the industry and it is critical for manufacturers to shift in order to address this growing concern and get the most out of your workforce.

HRI’s one-day readiness assessment is the first step in creating a road map for the changes required to effectively build the next generation workforce. It takes a close look at a company from the inside out to determine gaps that are impacting your ability to attract and retain employees and maximize productivity, and provide recommendations and tools for success.

The Workforce Readiness Assessment is conducted across five distinct categories:

  • Culture

  • Leadership

  • Strategy

  • Brand

  • Current Workforce

Three Key Assessment Zones

  1. Employee survey & primary research

  2. Onsite interviews of human resources, marketing and leadership staff

Business Analytics Assessment

Collecting and understanding data from your business and about the industries you work in are critical to your future success. And, as technology continues to evolve – machine monitoring, business intelligence tools - it has become easier for companies to gain access to the information they need.

The Business Analytics Assessment will help your company understand its readiness for a data-driven culture and identify opportunities, gaps and tools that will enable you to make decisions based on data. During the two-day session, our consultants will review processes around current systems, interview your leadership, and investigate how operations are connected to the company’s analytics to provide recommendations as to how they can evolve.
