Situation
Profitability and productivity were underperforming relative to the company’s peer group, and it was struggling with a recent spate of new launches.

Conducted company wide business assessment to determine strengths and opportunities
Deep-dived underperforming manufacturing plants and identified key recommendations to increase throughput and reduce cost
Identified systemic issues in ERP implementation, program management, finance and sales function and other company support functions impacting profitability and efficiency
Identified lead time and productivity issues in tooling division related to design and tool assembly processes. Today, actively engaged in the execution of improvement actions
Led cross-functional team to revamping the program management and launch function. Identified upfront and tactical back end actions to achieve PPAP faster
Led ownership and management on a complete re-work of their five-year plan including their vision, mission, values and key objectives
Led management into the development of a capabilities architecture which identified the one-year actions required to achieve the five-year plan
Worked with the new COO to identify key hires to increase organizational competencies and increase overall bench strength

In process reduction of 15% in tooling lead time and a 20% increase in productivity
